Renowned artists were in town the night of Saturday, October 19, but it was old home week for everyone. The concert performed by Lauren Sheehan, with guest performer Mona Warner, was a total success on many levels.  The audience got to hear some wonderful singing and playing by Lauren and Mona, old friends and collaborating musicians from way back.
Ed Carpenter got to share the public art project he is designing and donating to the city library, “Mollie’s Garden.”  Also in attendance were local artisans Greg Kriebel (wood) and Eric Canon (metal) who are adding their talents to the art project.
Mona and Lauren also sold CDs of their music and Ed sold his book. Those proceeds, plus ticket sales, went toward the installation cost of the art project, bringing in about $4,000.
The Forest Grove Library Foundation board wishes to thank everyone who had anything to do with putting on this benefit concert. We also thank those who supported the project by buying tickets and sharing the fun event with us.
